In that moment the rooftops cut above my jaw and all I could see was that same
blue sky.
The Rooftop Cuts Above My Jaw forces the viewer to look up and question what makes an image whole. Inspired by Louise Bourgeois’ Woman House (1984) and Laurie Simmons’ Walking House (1989), Coley plays with the idiom, "head in the clouds" and interjecting hydro lines to communicate the beauty of distraction.
